The Roman MethodThe Roman method ( IFOCE's term for regurgitating) or "a Roman incident," refers to a competitor vomiting during an event. The athlete is "disqualified if the result of that incident touches the plate or table," this calls the player for an automatic disqualification (Grabianowski, par. 8). after the competition if they'd like too, they are not required to keep the food down after the competition is over. However, this method is also used to rid food after the competition. This method is primarily used for getting rid of food rather than consuming it. However, The Roman Method is still an effective method to implement, by prevent any sort of nausea from the competition. The contestant doesn't receive any special benefits or rewards if they do keep the food down.
